Re: Application for Backend Developer (Java, Spring Boot)
Dear Ms. Sharma,
I am writing to apply for the Backend Developer role at Apex Cloud Technologies. With hands-on experience building REST APIs in Java and Spring Boot, and a strong foundation in databases and system design, I am excited about the chance to help your team ship reliable, scalable services that customers can depend on every day.
In my current role I designed and built a Spring Boot order service handling 2,000+ requests per minute, added Redis caching that cut response times by 60%, and wrote integration tests that brought production incidents down noticeably. I enjoy turning unclear requirements into clean, well-documented APIs that other teams can integrate with quickly and confidently.
Outside work, I built an open-source expense tracker with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React, deployed on AWS with a CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions. Shipping it end to end taught me how much good logging, clear error messages and small, reviewable pull requests matter once real users depend on a system.
What draws me to Apex Cloud is your focus on developer tooling and your engineering blog’s emphasis on observability. I would bring the same ownership mindset: measuring what matters, writing code that teammates can maintain, and learning quickly when the stack changes.
Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience can contribute to your team, and I am available for a conversation at your convenience. I have attached my resume, which includes links to my GitHub projects and a short summary of the systems I have worked on.
Sincerely,
Durgesh Kumar Tiwari
